Health care plans

Your child may require a health care plan if they have a medical condition.  

Health care plans contain information from parents, health professionals, school nurses and other health professions to ensure children can get the most out of their education. 

The plans will consider any specific training school staff will need, such as administering medication or responding to a medical emergency, as well as any adaptations your child might need. 

Plans will be reviewed by the school with relevant health professionals at least once a year or earlier if the child's medical needs have changed. 

If your child has mobility issues, an individual manual handling plan will also be completed.
