The Council are working towards the Preferred Strategy stage of the Replacement Local Development Plan process which will set out the key issues, vision, objectives, options considered, overall strategy and strategic sites for Torfaen up to 2037. A revised Delivery Agreement, which sets out an amended timetable for Plan preparation, was agreed by Welsh Government on 25th November 2024 and work on the RLDP is progressing in accordance with the revised Delivery Agreement.
