St David’s RC Primary and Nursery School is a voluntary-aided school for children from the ages of three to 11 years old. The school is administered jointly by the Archdiocese of Cardiff and Torfaen Local Authority and the school character, daily life and religious teaching is founded in the Catholic Faith.
The school has proudly served the Parish of St David’s and our local community since 1965 , working hard to ensure all pupils fulfil their potential and attain high standards through a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum. At St David’s we place great importance on the links between the school, the home, the Church and the community.
There are at present six classes in the school and the nursery. We offer a breakfast club and have links to a Playgroup on the school grounds which offers 'wrap around' provision. Sporting clubs, school choir, music lessons and extra-curricular activities are integral to the educational provision at our school.
St David’s is a happy school and we value the involvement of parents in the education of their children.
The school underwent a very successful Estyn inspection in May 2008 and gained seven 1s in all areas of school development and is described as 'a good school with many outstanding features.
