Jumbo fish finger served with herby diced potatoes, baked beans or peas and bread and spread
Why we chose this dish
Our Dietitian’s Choice
“NEW!!! Fish is a high protein, low fat food, and a good source of vitamins and minerals. For this reason, it is recommended that we eat 2 portions of fish every week. School lunches help our pupils to meet this target by including fish on every week’s menu. Our fish fingers are oven baked on site to limit fat and saturated fat intake. Baked beans are always of the reduced sugar and salt variety, and peas are a good source of iron as well as contributing to your child’s 5 a Day target. In addition, as part of our commitments to our environmental responsibilities, we only use fish that is MSC certified, so allowing pupils to tuck in knowing that they are helping protect our oceans, livelihoods and fish stock of the future.”
