7th July 2023 - Proposal to expand Maendy Primary School, Cwmbran – Delay in implementation of proposal
Construction of a new replacement and extended Maendy Primary School on it’s existing site has been delayed, meaning the original proposed implementation date (when the building would be available for occupation) of 1st September 2023 will now not be achieved.
Unfortunately, due to increased costs, a revised budget has had to be agreed before construction can begin. However, this is nearing the final stages of agreement and it is now currently anticipated that the new accommodation will be available for occupation at the latter part of the Summer Term 2025 i.e. Monday 2nd June 2025 (to be formally confirmed).
