Between Monday 21 October until Friday 29 November a section of St Davids Road, Cwmbran will be closed to carry out highway improvement works to the new Lidl Store. There will be alternate lane closures only.
The northbound lane will be closed for 3 weeks, then the southbound lane will be closed for 3 weeks. The road will not be closed in both directions simultaneously at any period during the works.
Traffic will be able to use St David’s road in the opposite direction to the lane closures but diversions will be in place.
Route A: To be used by HGV’s and larger vehicles: Edlogan Way, Somerset Road, Station Road, Avondale Road and vice versa.
Route B: To be used for all other traffic: Edlogan Way, Afon Terrace, Station Road, Avondale Road and vice versa.
Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times as far as reasonably practicable along with pedestrian access.
