ECO4 Flex Scheme
ECO4 Flex is a household referral mechanism as part of the wider ECO4 (Energy Company Obligation) scheme, which is a UK government initiative that aims to reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty by improving energy efficiency in homes.
To be eligible to apply, you must have a gross household income of £31,000 or below, or a qualifying health condition adversely affected by living in a cold home, such as cardiovascular, respiratory, immunosuppressed or limited mobility. Please see the statement of intent for full eligibility criteria.
To see if your home is eligible follow these steps:
- You must own your own home or live in a private rented property. If you rent privately, you will need your landlord’s permission to apply.
- Find out what your property’s EPC rating is – you can do this for free via the UK Government website. If your property has an EPC rating of E or below, it could be eligible. You can still apply if your property does not have an EPC.
- If you have a gas boiler that is a non-condensing back boiler, or a floor standing boiler (has a hot water tank), or is at least 18 years old.
For eligible homes, typical funded measures can include:
- Cavity or solid wall insulation
- Loft or roof insulation
- Draught proofing or new windows and doors
- Upgraded boiler
- Heating controls
- Solar panels
- Renewable Heating measures e.g. Air Source Heat Pumps
If you think you may be eligible for ECO funding, you can apply via contacting one of the approved contractors registered with Warm Wales.
You may contact more than one installer.
