Exclusions

ALN Link Officers provide advice and guidance on exclusions processes for schools, governors, parents and other professionals.

• Provide training to schools/governors on exclusions processes.
• Attend meetings/discussions /Pastoral Support Plan meetings with schools regarding alternatives to permanent exclusions and support planning for pupils in receipt of multiple exclusions.
• Attend Pupil Discipline Committee meetings for permanent and fixed term exclusions more than 15 presenting the Local Authority case
• Attend permanent exclusion hearings presenting the local authority case.
• Monthly monitoring of exclusions data.

Provide corporate and welsh government data and reports on home education
