Volunteering
Every year, there are more than 200 opportunities to help council teams deliver services in local communities.
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and improve your health and well-being.
There are regular volunteering opportunities with the following teams:
- Adult learning
- Cemeteries
- Community mentoring
- Environmental teams
- Libraries
- Litter and Fly-tipping prevention
- Play Service
- Youth Service
How to volunteer
- Visit Connect Torfaen for the latest volunteer opportunities. Information about the role, including location and number of hours required, will be included.
- Complete the application form.
- The team will consider your application and be in touch.
Some volunteering opportunities will provide training leading to qualifications.
Some may require a DBS check, but teams will be able to advise.
Providing volunteering opportunities is one of the ways the council is working more closely with local communities to improve well-being and resilience.
