Request and Collect Service
Torfaen residents who enjoy reading can ‘Request and Collect’ books from all three libraries.
Books can be requested by phoning your local library or by emailing cwmbran.library@torfaen.gov.uk.
When contacting the library to request items please provide the following information:
- your library card number and telephone number
- your book requests/preferences. This could be a selection of your favourite authors/genres or a few specific book titles. You can still search the Torfaen Library Catalogue to select items, but can only request books via telephone or e-mail.
Library staff will select books for you and will do their best to meet your requirements, but please be aware that many of the most popular titles may still be on loan because of the recent lockdown situation.
You can also use this service to request and collect a free Bookstart pack for your children. There are packs available for 0-1 years and 1-3 years, for more information about this service visit www.booktrust.org.uk
For residents who are unable to get to a library because of health or mobility reasons, there is a delivery service available.
