Community Covenant Grant Scheme

The Community Covenant Grant Scheme provides financial support for local projects that strengthen ties and mutual understanding between the armed forces community and the wider community.

Administered by the Ministry of Defence on behalf of the Government, the scheme is making £30 million available to projects across the UK over the next four financial years. Bids are only accepted from areas that have established community covenants.

Projects can apply for grants from £100 to £250,000 (although bids for larger amounts may be considered in exceptional circumstances). All applications must:

• Meet the aims and objectives of the community covenant
• Demonstrate value for money
• Be aligned with the spirit, strategies and policies of Torfaen CBC
