Licence Summary |
To rent a stall in the market, please contact pontypoolmarketmanager@torfaen.gov.uk
If your application is successful, you will be issued a licence agreement. For new businesses it’s a 6 month test trade licence with up to 30% discount on rents.

Eligibility Criteria |
Eligibility for an Indoor Market Stall takes into consideration representation and demand for a particular product alongside quality of goods and ability to adhere to the License issued by the Authority.

Application Evaluation Process |
Applications are considered on suitability and availability of stalls.

Does Tacit Approval apply? |
No. It is in the public interest that the authority must process your application before it can be granted. If you have not heard from the local authority within a reasonable period, please contact us.

Consumer Complaint |
We would always advise that in the event of a complaint the first contact is made with the trader by you - preferably in the form a letter (with proof of delivery). If that has not worked, if you are located in the UK, Citizens Advice will give you advice. From outside the UK contact the UK European Consumer Centre.
