Moving, Expanding or Closing Down

You must let us know if you move business premises, cease trading or take over additional premises.

To inform us of any of these changes, please print off and complete the attached Business Rates Enquiry Form.

Duty to notify changes 

From 1 April 2026, liable Business Rates payers in Wales will have a duty to tell their local authority about changes in circumstances which affect their Business Rates liability.  This means that you must tell us about any changes in occupation, this includes moving in and out of business premises.  Changes must be notified to us within 60 days, if you do not tell us we may apply a penalty of £500.
