Torfaen Foundational Economy

The Foundational Economy team is here to help new and small businesses thrive.   

Our focus is on supporting foundational economy businesses, which provide goods and services we need daily, such as food, retail and health services.

The team will specifically be working with new businesses, start ups and entrepreneurs located, or looking to locate, in the high streets and town centres of Pontypool and Blaenavon.

The Foundational Economy team can provide:

• Support to help businesses start and become sustainable.
• 1-2-1 mentoring to develop business ideas.
• Training and skill development opportunities.
• Networking opportunities with other businesses and organisations.
• Targeted grant funding to businesses (eligibility criteria apply)
• Access to office space and services at the Hyb2 workspace in Pontypool Indoor market.
