Members of the council's anti-social behaviour team will be joining Gwent Police at events to mark Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week.

They will be also be joined by local organisations working to tackle anti-social behaviour, such as Registered Social Landlords.

Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week aims to highlight the impact of anti-social behaviour on communities, such as people's sense of well-being, increased costs for policing and local businesses.

Catherine Jones, the council's Community Safety Lead, said: "Anti-social behaviour is not a low-level crime - it can have significant ramifications on the community as a whole.

"Anti Social Behaviour Awareness Week is a great opportunity for communities to get together with organisations to discuss the causes and importantly, what can be done to reduce it."

The anti-social behaviour team will be joined by partners at the following events:

* Multi-agency surgery, Millennium Hall, Garndiffaith, Wednesday July 2, 11am-12pm, and Thursday, July 2, 4pm-5pm
