This year’s Keep Torfaen Tidy Spring Clean aims to be our biggest one yet!
As well as 10 organised litter-picks, 12 schools will be holding litter picks as part of our Litter-Free Active Travel Zones initiative, and businesses signed up as Litter Free Zones will be carrying out their own clean-ups.
Councillor Mandy Owen, Executive Member for the Environment, said: "We’re hoping Keep Torfaen Tidy Spring Clean 2025 will be the biggest one yet and you can get involved.
“You can volunteer at one of our organised litter picking events, join your local litter picking club or carry out your own litter pick by borrowing free equipment from our litter picking hubs.
“Litter is a blight on our local environment and endangers wildlife. We hope by working together we can improve our communities and reduce the problems caused by litter.”
Keep Torfaen Tidy Spring Clean 2025 events run between Monday 10 March and Friday 14 March.
Five of the locations are accessible for people with mobility issues.
If you would like to take part in an event, come along and register on the day. Please come prepared for the weather and have gloves and sturdy footwear. Litter picking equipment will be supplied.
For details of volunteer litter-picking groups, visit the Torfaen Greener Cleaner Volunteers Facebook group.
Alternatively, you can organise your own event and borrow litter-picking equipment for free from your nearest litter picking hubs.
